* A Management Mule Deer buck is a mature mule deer buck that is considered by the Outfitter or Guide to have inferior antler conformation characteristics and is to be harvested in an effort to improve the antler producing genetics of the deer herd.
** In selected areas, a hunter may hunt for and harvest two (2) mature buck Antelope on a single hunt if he or she has two valid Type 1 licences for that area. Please call for more information.
General Information: Our big game hunting services include transportation to and from the Casper, Wyoming Airport (or the Rapid City, South Dakota Airport in the case of our Whitetail Deer hunts); camp style, lodge or hotel accommodations (depending on area/species hunted) and 3 well prepared meals a day. All hunts take place on private land leased for the exclusive use of Wyoming Professional Hunters, Ltd., where you will be guided by a licensed, experienced guide. The hunting will be conducted on foot and from 4×4 vehicles. We are responsible for proper field care for your cape, horns and meat and will make every effort to make your outdoor experience a memorable, safe, and successful one.
At the time of booking a hunt, the Client is required to sign an Outfitter/Client contract and to submit a deposit of one-half of the total hunt price. Then, during the appropriate application period, the client will also be expected to pay the full amount of the price of the required license(s) to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Wyoming Professional Hunters, Ltd. will assist the Client in correctly applying for these licenses with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Most licenses in Wyoming are issued pursuant to a drawing however with the exception of our elk area, most of the areas hunted by Wyoming Professional Hunters, Ltd. enjoy a 100% drawing success. In the unlikely event that the Client is unsuccessful in drawing a license to hunt, the state will refund the Client’s license fee (minus a $14.00 application fee) and the Client has the option of either having Wyoming Professional Hunters, Ltd. refund the clients one-half of the total hunt price deposit in full or having Wyoming Professional Hunters, Ltd. retain the deposit for the same hunt the following year at the original booked price for that hunt. If the Client is successful in drawing a license, the one half deposit is non-refundable at the discretion of the Outfitter.
Hunters will need to apply for their Wyoming elk license in advance of the January 31st Wyoming Game and Fish licence application deadline. The traditional computer selection date for Elk licenses is February 21st. All of the other licenses listed above have a Wyoming Game & Fish application deadline of March 15th and a traditional computer selection date of July 3rd. There is no deadline for mountain lion applications as the licenses are issued over the counter locally. The actual odds of drawing a license vary from area to area and may vary from year to year. However, most of our best hunting areas traditionally enjoy a 100% chance of drawing the required license(s). Please contact Bo Raines at Wyoming Professional Hunters, Ltd. for details and up to date information on license availability.
